NME

I'm appearing in this week's issue talking about how to run your own Love Music Hate Racism with a picture and quote which i gave at my successful Punk and Ska gig held in whitstable during September.

Next week is a LMHR special edition of the NME with a wicked free Double LMHR CD on the cover. The CD features some really cool bands and songs so i expect to see at least two copies in every houshold that i visit in the coming weeks.

Survival of the most Peaceful

Well I managed to survive last monday's eventful anti war demo which took me from Trafalgar Sq. to Parliament (alright not that far but it was still a challenge). We arrived by mini bus at about half twelve and immediatly started checking out the other looney lefties who were knocking about. The best moment of the day was when carol (of Big Brother fame) came up and gave me a flyer to join the RESPECT party which i duely accepted.

The speekers were quite good too ranging from Tony Benn and Lindsey German to Brian Eno and ex SAS soldiers. The march was relativly peaceful i walked near to Tony Benn before he was mobbed by press. By the end of the day we had reclaimed Parliament Sq. and caused havoc to London's transport systems.

All in a day's work i guess

PEACE or JAIL?

So the mad rush that was September is finally over after two extremly successful shows for Love Music Hate Racism in the bag. The first being the Punk and Ska gig we did on whitstable beach mid september and the second being a smaller yet just as raucious club night at the Sugar Lounge Night Club in Margate which could also be considered a success.

We seemed to have established ourselves quite well now with almost daily calls to do a show with someone or other in some random place across Kent...all good as usual.

Well school sucks (big surprise) it could definatly be said that the honeymoon period is now over along with my willingness to complete boring homework tasks by stuck up teachers. My own fault for going back to 6th form this year i guess but still its a complete and utter wankered up idea that we should have to go to 6th form's and uni's to be properly recognised as people who can string a half decent sentence together.

Anyways...Tomorrow I'll be marching with hundreds of thousands of others through the streets of london to protest the illegal wars in Iraq and Afganastan and the threatening behaviour that this government and the bush administration offer's to Iran. The march is called "Not one more death", we'll be meeting in Trafalger sq. at 1pm if you wanna come and join us for a good old protest. The police have tried to call it off but we're marching anyway especially seeing as the government has been supporting the monks in Burma it seems a little hippocritical of them to try to block our procession.

Punk and Ska Gig

The LMHR Punk and Ska gig at the Neptune was a huge success. The bands; Panic Plan, Blondee and Electric River were fantastic and the amosphere was electric. All the feedback we've had has been positive although we had to make a last minute change of location to inside the pub thanks to a confrontation with the local constabulary.

We've been asked to host another two events at the pub next summer and we're planning a huge festival on tankerton slopes next summer as well.

Pics below are all courtesy of A.GODDEN the fantastic photographer whom we're hoping to work with again:

Its been a while so....

Wow i can't believe how long it's been since my last post so here's a little update:

A couple of weeks back the family and i headed down to the delightful Isle of Wight to visit some family who have just migrated from Canada. This was a pleasent trip made even more so by familier faces and the patter of tiny feet. We checked in on My great Uncle and Aunt (Bob and Lorna) to see how their fairing with the struggles of the "Canadian Invasion". Their Son and Daughter in Law were the ones who have just arrived from accross the pond with their three adorable children.

We arrived back to get my GCSE results which went much better then i expected...I got 1 A, 4 B's and 8 C's. So i'm back off to school in Herne Bay next week for A levels!.

I've also been really busy organising my next show with LOVE MUSIC HATE RACISM (see earlier post) which has been extremly hectic to say the least. I also managed to get rather drunk and was apparantly dancing to the sound of Bunny Djing last friday!.

A busy old weekend this one coming up. Friday i'm promoting the LMHR show in canterbury before heading to the Duke for Mandy Kewley's set in the evening ---Highly recommended!, Saturday I'll be promoting the event at both Whitstable High street and the Hop festival in faversham which should be a laugh, come along and say hello if your in the area. Sunday's my 17th Birthday so i'll be heading out for a curry with the family before boogying the night away.

Looking to the future i'll be back to school from next tuesday which should be much better than previous years as i'll be in 6th form. I've just got a new job blogging for an internet site ---- http://www.literaryillusions.com/LIreviews/ I'll be the new world politics correspondant, so you can check me out there soon. I'm also off to see that sexy Beth Ditto perform with The Gossip in a few weeks can't wait should be immense!
